HIPs - Home Information Packs Summary

Due to government legislation, it is now a legal requirement to have a Home Information Pack (HIP) before a property can be marketed.

Only the local drainage and water searches of a HIP have up to 28 days to be completed from the first day of marketing of your property.

A HIP should include the following information:

• HIP index
• Property Information Questionnaire (PIQ)
• Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
• Sale statement
• Evidence of title
• Local, drainage and water searches
• Copy of lease (if leasehold)
